Ealu.ai
Applying Product, Governance, and Delivery Principles to AI
Why I Built It
While completing my Executive MBA, I created Ealu.ai to explore the practical challenges of building AI-powered products.
The goal was not simply to experiment with large language models. I wanted to understand how product strategy, governance, compliance, usability, and delivery practices needed to evolve in an AI-driven environment.
Product Decisions
Many of the decisions made during development were informed by lessons learned across fintech, healthtech, and regulated technology organizations.
Security and Identity
Rather than treating security as a future enhancement, I required two-factor authentication from the initial release. In regulated environments, identity assurance is a product requirement rather than a technical afterthought.
Privacy by Design
The platform was designed to identify and suppress Social Security numbers contained within uploaded documents. This approach reflects the privacy-first mindset required when handling sensitive information and demonstrates how governance requirements can be incorporated into product design from day one.
Human-Centered AI
A core objective was improving usability rather than maximizing technical complexity. Product decisions focused on reducing friction, improving clarity, and helping users understand what the system was doing and why.
Delivery and Operations
The project provided an opportunity to apply release management, risk management, production readiness, and operational excellence practices within a modern AI application stack.
What I Learned
Building Ealu.ai reinforced a lesson that applies across both traditional software and AI systems: successful products require more than technology. Security, privacy, governance, usability, trust, and operational discipline must be designed into the product from the beginning.
